Leo Ferdinando DEMETZ was born on November 30, 1967, in Bolzano, Italy. He lives and works in Selva di Val Gardena, Italy.

After having finished his studies of five years at the art school for wood carving in Selva di Val Gardena – Bolzano with the degree of ‘Maestro d’Arte’, Leo Ferdinando DEMETZ started his professional career as an independent sculptor.

The sculptures of Leo Ferdinando DEMETZ are based on the human figure and represent usually characters in their ways of being, catching the daily scenery, drama and humor.
